2021…what a year!
When we soft launched in January 2021, we had 3 employees, 1 partner, 200 chargers and only a handful of app downloads.
We’ve been working hard over the last year and have grown into a team of 12 big thinkers and hard workers who work every day to make Bonnet a better app with the best charging experience possible. In the next three months we have plans to more than double our headcount and by the end of the year will have 50+ team members, so we can keep growing as a presence in the EV Charging space.
The 200 chargers are now more than 6,000 in the UK alone, with an additional 60,000+ located throughout Europe. If you’ve been keeping an eye on our socials, you will know that we have just announced an exciting new partnership with Osprey, with more announcements coming shortly.
We’re busy working on a few other plans for 2022, including peer-to-peer charging and our own Bonnet route planner - so that wherever you decide to go, be it Dundee or Cornwall, you can make sure there is a Bonnet charge point to stop at on the way. As far as New Year goals go, we’re pretty excited about this one!
We want to say a huge thank you to all of our users - we wouldn’t be able to do this without the EV drivers who decided to try out a small and promising charging app called Bonnet. We still have a lot of work to do, but we’re more excited than ever to hit the ground running in 2022 to make the charging experience better for all EV drivers and to help make the world a greener place.
